The Moving Comfort award is given
to one member each year at the annual banquet (La Fete des Feet)
in November. It is presented to a woman who is a role model for
all women who want to promote and nurture women's running. This
person should be someone who encourages women of all abilities
and has made an extra effort to give something back to the women's
running community.
The award winner will receive items sent from the Moving Comfort
headquarters. This is a prestigious award because Moving Comfort
does not give out awards to every running club. This has been
a Columbine tradition for many years now and the plaque is passed
on to the next year's winner.
In September the previous year's honoree requests nominations
from the club for the award. It is important to participate! It
is also important to provide examples of how the person you feel
deserves the award reflected the spirit of the Moving Comfort
award. Did she host a fun run or coordinate an event? The examples
and stories that you provide comprise the nomination which is
sent to Moving Comfort.
Usually the previous year's winner announces the new winner at
the banquet so it is a total surprise.

sporting apparel and shoes for women, but Moving Comfort was about
the first. Find out more about them, their activities to encourage
women's running, and their philanthropic endeavors here!
